CDA, cont.
It is the calm before the ‘storm’ (Race Day). The weather remains unpredictable for tomorrow, with forecast ranging from "rain all day" to "rain late in the afternoon." Doesn’t matter to Julie, who says, “It is what it is.” The town is crawling with tri-athletes and their ‘teams' (like us). Warm up runs. bike rides and swims are the order of the day. Janice and I hopped on our bikes and pedaled a portion of the race route as expensive bikes whizzed by us like we were standing still. Temperature today is about 70-75 with broken clouds.

Yesterday featured 9 holes of golf in the morning at CDA Muni. I abandoned intentions of playing 18 as the drizzle started on the 8th hole. Later went to the movies (Pelham 123) to kill a drippy afternoon. Janice and I enjoyed dinner at The Cedar’s, a floating restaurant within walking distance of the park. Julie attended the athlete’s dinner. Janice enjoyed Copper River salmon, while I had slightly undercooked scallops. Table by the window looking at the lake. Chardonnay, too.
Dinner tonight at Tony’s, so Julie can do some carb-loading. I’m looking forward to some meatballs.
Because the reportage is a bit brief today, her's a couple 'bonus' pics. First, Grandson Jonas after his latest haircut. The next, a "Cadillac on a Stick" at Winchester, ID.
